Machhapuchhre Model Trek
Machhapuchhre Model Trek is recently opened trekking trail along the beautiful cultural villages of Annapurna region. If you are looking for fresh trekking route with fantastic views of Annapurna Massif, unexplored trail, less visited ethnic villages & pristine beauty of natural attraction; this is the best opportunity to get new experience of the un-crowed corner of Annapurna Conservation Area. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Model Trek was discovered by the initiation of TAAN Pokhara chapter in support of Nepal Tourism Board as an alternative route to the world famous Annapuran region.
The newly developed trail passes seven beautiful VDCs of Kaski and can be complete the route through Machhapuchhre, Ghachwok, Lwang Ghalel, Rivan, Laha Chowk, Sardi Khola and Dhital VDCs in five days. However we can extend the days with some side trips and enjoy the local culture, flora & fauna. Machhapuchhre Model trail takes you the maximum elevation of 3700 m.
Various organizations in collaborative efforts with local people worked hard to develop the trail and established essential infrastructure needed to run the tourism activities. Construction of several porter houses, separate Camp site and hospitality training of local people is completed. Most of the villages offer home stay service with basic facility available in the mountain village.
